Iran forest museum high on top welcomes tourists

Iranian museum located at the country's highland forests showcases an endangered centuries-old ethnicity in Iran.

Iranian museum located at 1,900 meters above sea level showcases an endangered centuries-old ethnicity in Iran.

The anthropology center in Mazandaran Province welcomes a great number of tourists each year and was mounted by private sector investment.

The center is home to around 200 tools and instruments used for the region’s nomads in life as well as their husbandry practices.

The manager of the museum told the domestic media on Friday that the nomad culture in Talesh County goes back to 3,500 years ago based on the archeological finds in the region, adding however that such rich culture is endangered as new generations of the ethnicity are less aware of their background.
